Q: My trip is next week/tomorrow/really soon. Am I too late?
A: No - my goal is to make the whole process as easy as possible, even for beginners to video. However, if your vacation is coming up very soon, it may take longer than 2-3 weeks for me to finish your edit. Contact me + we can get you on the calendar.
Q: Do I need to have/pack a bunch of equipment?
A: Nope, all you need is your camera phone. However, if you want to get fancy, you can find my favorite gear recommendations here.
Q: Do I need a professional-grade camera?
A: Not at all! The majority of my clients (including the videos you see above) are filmed with either an iPhone or a GoPro. Seriously!
Q: Do I need to have mad photography or video skills for this to work?
A: Prior knowledge of photography is certainly helpful; it teaches you a lot of the basics like light + composition that are also applicable + useful when filming videos. However, it’s not required! As long as you have a desire to capture + create, I’ll be able to work my magic on the footage you bring home.
Q: So I can just take a bunch of random videos on my phone/camera and then you edit them all together?
A: Kind of! You can take as many random video clips as you’d like. I’ll include a travel toolkit to guide you and help you discover more amazing shots for your video.
Q: Will there be music in my video?
A: Absolutely! I'll ask you for your favorite genres of music + take inspiration from your favorite artists to pick a song for your final film.
Q: Can you use fill-in-the-blank-popular-song in my video?
A: Unfortunately, no. I know how special certain songs can be to us, but due to music licensing laws, I'll have to choose a song that I have access to as a professional video editor.
Q: Which package is right for me, the Pine or the Ponderosa?
A: It depends! The Pine is perfect for elopements because all you need is a smartphone on a tripod + permission from your photographer to use their photos in your video. The Ponderosa is ideal for weddings where you want guests to participate and if you'd like more events included outside of simply the ceremony, like toasts or wedding weekend activities.
